Sewing pattern weights
Having seen the pattern weights on the sewing bee I thought I might give some a go.
So armed with scraps of fabric, (left over from recently recovering the dinning chairs), and a bag of rice I sat down ready to make some cute little triangles.
I tried 3 different sizes before I found a size that was small enough to use but not be too fiddly to make or too light.
They were quick to sew up and fill up. Apart from when you drop them whilst trying to sew the fill hole closed... rice everywhere!
I'll have a go with them later and see how they are in use. Currently I often don't use pins. For quickness I tend to use whatever is to hand, plate of biscuits, sweets, cup of tea.... anything really.
I'll update on the usefulness of them once I've tested them properly. In the meantime here is a picture of them piled up.... what you can't see is the pile of sweet wrappers beside them that got me through the hand sewing part.
